Ceramic Braces
Ceramic braces a form of conventional orthodontics, using brackets that are fixed to your teeth with wires, also known as ‘white’ or ‘clear braces’, they are similar to a metal brace in that a metal wire is still used, but differ in that they are clear/tooth-coloured to try and visually hide them.

- NOverbites
- NUnderbites
- NOpen bites
- NCrossbites
Ceramic braces are very popular due to their barely visible appearance, given a near discreet appearance over traditional metal braces, yet achieving the same amazing results.

Is it easy to brush your teeth with ceramic braces?
Whilst wearing your ceramic brace, it’s vital to spend extra time in brushing your teeth and we recommend brushing after every meal.
Can I straighten just one arch?
Of course, however this isn’t always possible and following a full assessment we’ll be able to advise on your best treatment plan.
How ‘invisible’ are they?
They are far less visible than traditional metal ‘train track’ braces, as the wires are white rather than silver and the brackets are transparent rather than metal so blend with your teeth more. They are not as clear as Invisalign clear aligners, so this may be an option for you if you are overly concerned.
How long will treatment take?
Treatment times can vary from 6-12 months if no extractions are needed and to 12-18 months if some teeth are needed to be removed.
